Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy

The Occupational Therapy, prevents, restores, and develops the physical, mental, and social state of the child, (who has some neurological-brain dysfunction), by engaging in therapeutic activities, to help him/her adapt and function effectively.

Its objective is to maximize the development of their capabilities and potential so that they can be self-sufficient. In this therapy, we use the "occupation" as a means and an end. The first is done according to their individual needs; as an end, it acts as an element of relationship and interrelation, enabling their social integration, therefore improving their concept of themselves. When the children carry out activities according to their age, motivations, and needs, they feel efficient, effective in their environment, as someone who is in control of actions and situations, therefore, the program has as its purpose, the activity with a purpose, using it as a fundamental tool to get the maximum potential out of the child.
