Sensory Perception Therapy

Sensory Perception Therapy

The integration of Sensory Perception, is a neurological process which allows to receive, process, and organize, the sensations coming from the own body and the environment, through different channels: auditory, tactile, taste, balance, and stability.

Our Sensory Perception Therapy aims for our little ones and youngsters to be guided through activities that improve their abilities to respond appropriately to sensory stimuli, carrying out an organized and successful response.

Therapy will include activities that provide vestibular stimulation (of balance and body movements); proprioceptive stimulation (of the receptors that perceive the position of the muscles, the pressure, the tactile temperature), which are designed for the specific development needs of each individual. The activities will be gradually modified, according to the demands that are made to the child, to get responses that are more and more mature and organized.
